Creativity Residencies for Educators
Creativity will be a foundational capability of the labor force in the future. We are asking educators to instill creativity in our students, but what are we doing to build their creative capacity? Creativity Residencies: Building Mindsets for Future-Ready Educators is a professional development offering for K-12 educators that focuses on building creative agency. In this multiple-session offering, educators will engage in a variety of STEAM-based experiences that include music, theater, visual arts and dance. They will explore the following mindsets: resiliency, risk-taking, navigating ambiguity, persistence, experimentation, playfulness, empathy and divergent thinking.
Creativity Residencies for Kids
Creativity is all about joy, expression, and passion. It’s an essential part of children’s education. Yet opportunities to build creative skills are often limited. Creativity Residencies for Kids is a hands-on, high-energy program where children engage in a series of virtual artist-led immersive activities that include visual arts, spoken-word poetry, dance and improv theater. The program, which is designed for students in grades 4-5, consists of four one-hour sessions.
